Visions of Life for 2020. CKA Sponsors Shropshire Tree Planting.

Caitlin’s Kickstart Award welcomes the new year with an act of hope for the future, and to raise much-needed funds. With this in mind, the Trustees of invite you to donate a tree, or two, or three, to the continuing greening of our planet.

The Back Story. In 1998, Bob and Susie Cunning kindly allowed me
to plant a tree for Caitlin on their land at Newcastle on Clun. We chose a
black poplar, an increasingly rare species of tree who loves to have her ‘feet in the water’. 
Beneath the roots we placed Caitlin’s ‘tart’s trotters’ her favourite dressy shoes.

Now Bob and Susie have offered to plant HUNDREDS OF TREES to raise funds for CKA, of
the following list OF NATIVE VARIETIES APPROPRIATE TO OUR AREA.

 hazel ,
cob, apple,
wild cherry, scots pine, beech,
birch, hornbeam , poplar , rowan and oak.

Hawthorn, alder and willow also seed themselves given half a chance.
